KILN · WEBSITE FOR RESTAURANTS, BARS & CAFÉS

Kiln: a website for roastery cafés

Kiln is for cafés that roast their own coffee. It sells beans on repeat through a subscription builder, shows what is in the roaster this week and still has a full café menu for people who walk in.

THE LOOK

How Kiln looks

Dark espresso brown backgrounds, burnt orange buttons and a typewriter-style font give Kiln a craft roastery feel. The hero shows beans tumbling in a roaster. A ticket-style summary on the subscription builder echoes coffee bag labels. It suits coffee lovers who care about origin and roast date. Small details like ticket numbers and roast dates make the site feel like it was set up by people who weigh every batch.

IS IT FOR YOU?

Who it suits

Kiln suits small roasters with a café at the front and coffee lovers who buy beans to take home. The wholesale panel gives trade buyers a way in too, and the cupping event gives locals a reason to visit on a Saturday morning. It works best if you already sell bags over the counter and want to post them out as well.

If you buy in your beans and focus on the counter, Crema is simpler. For a brunch café, Bloom fits better.

What goes in the roast log?

The coffees you tell us about when you answer our questions, with their origin, process and tasting notes. Up to three free wording changes before launch let you fine-tune them.
